Looking beyond the physical appearance: The nude female

 

During my meetings in Asia (South Korea and Japan), an idea emerged itself. If cultures differ greatly, then expectations differ much less. Thus I had the urge to build this series where everything is technically opposed to the series of male nudes with the final goal of treating the same subject.

 

So we have a digital picture of a professional Asian woman on a white background superimposed using a computer, as opposed to a non-professional caucasian man using silver photography on a black background with overprint at the time of the shooting.

 

アジア(韓国と日本)で面会がある間、アイデアが浮かびました。文化が大いに異なる場合、期待はさらに異なっていきます。

したがって同じテーマを扱うことを最終目標としながら、厳密に言うと男性の裸体のシリーズにとは真反対である、このシリーズを企画したいという気持ちにかられました。

ですので私たちはコンピューターを使って白の背景と写真を二重焼き付けをし、プロの韓国人女性モデルのデジタル写真を撮りました。撮影時に刷り重ねをした黒の背景で銀色の写真を使ったプロのモデルではない白人男性と対比させたものとして。
